Welcome to My Campaign Website

After much deliberation, I have decided to continue pursuing my public service by running for Santa Clara County Supervisor in June of 2008 to succeed County Supervisor Pete McHugh, who will be termed out. The district includes parts of San Jose, Sunnyvale and all of Milpitas.

As a Supervisor, I will have the opportunity to advance the values I have always stood for—open, honest, and transparent government that respects the value of taxpayer dollars; economic opportunities for all residents; intervention and support for our youth and seniors; regional solutions to transportation and housing issues; and schools that once again become the envy of the State and the Nation.

My experience has prepared me to serve the diverse district well:

» Councilman and Vice Mayor of San Jose
» Trustee of the East Side Union High School District
» President, Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG)
» President, Santa Clara County Cities Association
» Member, Valley Transportation Authority (VTA)
  » Member, Metropolitan Transportation Commission
   (MTC)

Winning will take a huge, focused effort. A great
campaign is not just about electing an individual. It is a
movement designed to capture our hearts and minds
and to make our lives and the lives of
future generations better.

I look forward to building this campaign
side-by-side with you between now and June.
