Sunnyvale is a wonderful place to raise a family, and a great place to work. The city has one of the best mini-climates and some of the most beautiful parks in Santa Clara County, plus one of the most educated and productive populations.

Sunnyvale is the second largest city in Santa Clara County, and the fifth largest in the Bay area. Its economy has thrived, and at different times has centered on farming and agriculture, defense, and high technology.
Several members of the Sunnyvale City Council, including Mayor Tony Spitaleri, Dave Whittum and Melinda Hamilton, endorse Dave. He also has the endorsement and support of a cross section of people who live and work in Sunnyvale, including teachers, real estate professionals, health care workers, business owners and residents from all walks of life.
"Dave Cortese is Sunnyvale's best choice for County Supervisor," says Sunnyvale Mayor Tony Spitaleri. Another key Cortese endorser is Sunnyvale City Councilman Dave Whittum who believes, "Dave understands our issues and our needs. He is the type of leader we need on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors."
Sunnyvale native Charles Olson of C.J. Olson Cherries, whose pioneering family has centered its business operations in the same place on El Camino Real since 1899 endorses Dave. The Olson's symbolize the rich agricultural heritage and the enduring values of the family farm which were an essential part of community life in Sunnyvale.
The Cortese and Olson families have known each other for generations.
