Dave in San Jose

San Jose is Dave’s home town-where he was raised. Now he’s bringing up his own children there. He and his wife, Pattie consider their Evergreen neighborhood a great place to raise kids because San Jose offers the very best in public schools, libraries, and parks and recreational activities.

Dave grew up during an interesting time in the City and County's history, when it went from being the Valley of Heart's delight-rich in agriculture and farmland to Silicon Valley, which is equally rich in innovation and ideas. San Jose's strength has always been it's cultural diversity, and people from different lands have worked side by side-first in the orchards and fields, and now in manufacturing and technology. 

As you know, Dave is currently the Vice Mayor of San Jose. He says it was a privilege to also serve his city while on the East Side Union High School Board, the San Jose City Council, and through a number of community based organizations including the YMCA, East Side Heroes, the Rotary Club, and more.

In this race for Santa Clara County Supervisor, Dave has growing grassroots support from many San Jose neighborhoods, and those people who are dedicated to protecting us, including the Santa Clara County Firefighters, IIAF Local 1165. Mayor Chuck Reed and his city council colleagues endorse him.

San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed chose Dave to be his Vice Mayor.

Dave looks forward to the exciting possibility of also representing North San Jose as Supervisor, and working with the people of Alviso as they make vital water and land use decisions affecting their future.
