Milpitas is a city rich in cultural diversity, with a population that values its parks and rolling foothills as well as good old-fashioned hard work. In fact, Milpitas is such an affluent and well-educated community with higher than average household incomes, that most residents own their own homes.
Milpitas has always been this way. For more than 100 years, it a prospered as a farming and livestock community with a wealth of crops, from corn to sugar beets.
One of the crown jewels of Milpitas is Ed Levin County Park, with its dog park, owned and operated by the City of Milpitas. This 1,539-acre park features picnic, fishing and play areas, with a beautifully complex trail system.
Milpitas has drawn millions of avid shoppers to its fantastic Great Mall of the Bay Area that features the best names in manufacturers' and retail outlets, restaurants and a movie theater. Another big draw each summer is the Milpitas Art and Wine Festival, that provides fun for the whole family!
In this campaign for Santa Clara County Supervisor, Dave is pleased to have the endorsement and support of the majority of the Milpitas City Council: Armando Gomez, Debbie Giordano and Bob Livengood, as well as school officials, business owners, and homeowners from many neighborhoods.
Milpitas Vice Mayor Livengood says, "Dave has proven his ability to work together with a variety of citizens' groups and elected officials to achieve solid results for his constituents," says Livengood, "and that means Milpitas' concerns will continue to be addressed by the Board of Supervisors."
